Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious hip-hop tracks that addressed racial identity and sexuality with an incisive and humorous perspective, before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. In addition to classical and jazz, the young Nora started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. In college, she focused on her studies and studied women's studies and journalism. While she was for a brief amount of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until after she completed her degree. My Vag, her track My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a popular viral sensation across the Internet and eventually appeared on her first LP Yellow Ranger. It also included other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. The latter song was linked directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC a travel guide published in 2015. She opted to pursue acting as a profession after completing her first two ventures as a musician and author. Her film credits include films such as Neighbors 2 Storks, and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered several notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
