Jill Hennessy
This resident of Edmonton, Alberta has a mixed ancestry of Irish, Italian, Swedish, French and Ukranian. Her twin sister, Jacqueline, is an actress also. Jill was proficient in a variety of languages during her growing years. These include Italian, French, and Spanish. At the age of twelve, of age, Jill started to get interested in with acting. In Toronto, she began her acting career in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers. She played an escort in the show with the twins of her. After studying improv with Deb Kimmet from Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. She moved in New York two years later after which she signed a deal to portray an Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid in the hit lengthy-running show Law & Order. In addition, she appeared in movies like RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) throughout her three-year period. Following that she landed roles on some forgettable movies. Then, in 1999 she secured a leading role in the mini-series uremberg alongside Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York, Exit Wounds and other major productions would follow. She landed the leading role of Crossing Jordan, the NBC police comedy Crossing Jordan in 2001. In 2007, she was awarded the Gracie Allen Award for "Outstanding female character in a drama" for her role on the show. Her husband was another actor Paolo Mastropietro in 2000. They share two children. In 2007, she was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2007.
